Truman Beatboxes for H&R Block

Did you check out the latest Truman video yet? It's an ode to human beatboxer Lasse Gjertsen.

Can't believe we're 15 days away from tax day!

Check out Truman's Myspace page to meet the man behind the vids

Scoble, Twitter, and H&R Block

H&R Block has a Twitter feed and we've been enjoying interacting with the Twitter community, both listening and getting involved in the conversation. Last week, we noticed that Robert Scoble was hanging out at H&R Block, getting his taxes done and H&R Block wanted to see how it was going.

This resulted in an awesome response:

And Mr. Scoble shared his thoughts with FaceReviews as well:

So what do you think about Twitter?

Gimme Shelter

Another video in Truman's YouTube / MySpace campaign to get the word out about online tax filing.

This video is about the importance of having audit protection. Tax audits are like colonoscopies — always unpleasant! Lately Truman's been seeing tax programs that show you a little "tax audit meter" to tell you if you have a good chance of getting audited. But he doesn't get it. What good is having a warning that you may, or may not get audited? You don't need a warning flag! You need people to represent ya! And that's another reason he files online with the Block. Because the Block Represents!

H&R Block represents on Facebook too...

The Deductor, making taxes fun

OK well I wouldn't go that far, but if you're struggling to do your taxes and want a break, why don't you try to kick some IRS butt in this cool widget game from H&R Block:

Counting Down the Days to Tax Time

I am a HUGE tax procrastinator...seriously. Somebody has to make me sit down and get em done. That's why I'm thankful for (but also scared of checking) this Countdown to Tax Day widget, powered by H&R Block.

I know once I get them done, I'll have a huge weight lifted... have you filed yet?

You can brag about it at H&R Block's Facebook page, but if they're done already, I may hate you.

How to file your taxes online using onions and electrolytes

This is a shout-out to one of Truman's favorite videos on YouTube, How to Charge an iPod Using Electrolytes and an Onion. He wanted to kick it up a few notches so Truman set out to generate enough veggie energy to power his laptop long enough to file his taxes online. But can he do it?

Your Patriotic Duty.

A lot of people are talking about the 2008 presidential campaign and all the candidates like Hillary, Barack, Rudi, Mitt, Mike and John who have thoughts on ways to fix the economy. Truman Greene's not dissing any of their ideas but he's got a plan to rock our economy: File with the Block and use your refund to buy all sorts of junk you don't need. The more you spend, the better we do that's his motto. That's just real-deal economics Truman Greene style. What do you think?

Getting Naked for the Block

Have you met Truman Greene? He is H&R Block's #1 Fan, a tax groupie, and he is basically willing to do ANYTHING to get the word out about filing your taxes online with H&R Block.

Here's his tribute video to the Star Wars Kid and the OK Go on treadmills. There's even a little nudity... who knew H&R Block could get someone so inspired??

Learn more about Truman on his MySpace page and while you're there, check out his blogs, photos and cool H&R Block widgets.

And visit H&R Block's Facebook page for more stuff that you wouldn't expect from a tax prep company.

Create-Your-Hero with NBC.com and Sprint

Create-Your-Hero is the latest big Heroes promo, sponsored by Sprint. The fanbase every week votes on new traits for the male and female Heroes, and the most-picked traits will be incorporated into new Heroes whose evolution will be shown on the air every Monday. I voted for new Heroes from Africa and Asia, and the leaderboard has them coming from America and Europe. So you can see how in step I am with the fans.
